Negi Ramen and a Spring Sunbeam – A Gentle Day with Momiji.
Today was one of those spring afternoons where everything just felt right. Nothing special happened, but the breeze was soft, the temperature perfect—and on days like this, I just crave ramen.
I headed to my usual spot, "Ippatsu Ramen." I always go for the negi (green onion) ramen—100 yen extra for a mountain of shredded leeks. It’s a great value, and the way the crisp leeks blend into the broth is just perfect.

Their most popular dish is the negitoro chashu ramen, but it comes with so many toppings that the soup cools down too fast. So I always choose the simpler, piping-hot negi ramen.
I took my time with today’s bowl, gently blowing on each bite. It made me think, "Yep, today’s another good day."
I don’t write these posts thinking about whether they’ll help someone or not. But maybe, just maybe, someone out there will read this and feel a little better.
If someone sees a photo of today’s ramen and thinks, "I could go for some ramen today," then maybe I’ve brightened their day a bit.
Momiji was enjoying herself, too. With the soft spring breeze drifting in, she sat on her cushion, sniffing the air. Her eyes half-closed, ears perked up—as if she was thinking, "Yep, this is spring."

Nothing special. Just a calm, beautiful day. But maybe it’s these kinds of days that help us really appreciate life. I hope more days like this come along.
