Hi, I'm Hiroshi.

"My back hurts." And I have a marathon tomorrow.

This 50-year-old guy, despite all that, decided to head to a craft beer festival. Even I thought — "Am I seriously okay?"

But then I told myself: "As long as I don't overdo it, I can still enjoy myself."

I arrived at the venue and was immediately shocked.

A four-glass craft beer set... while standing.

For someone with back pain like me, reality hit hard. With every sip, I muttered to myself: "Can I really run tomorrow...?"

Strangely enough, my heart felt full. It wasn't about chugging beer like in my younger days — it was about "the grace to enjoy, even with limitations." That's what living in your 50s is all about.

To everyone around my age — health is important, but don't forget to nourish your soul too. If you wait for the perfect conditions, you'll miss out on life.

"Don't push yourself, but don't forget to enjoy life."

That's the key to a fulfilling life from here on out.

So, what happened with tomorrow's marathon? I'm still pondering that, feeling the afterglow of four beers... and my aching back (lol). Next year, I'll aim to arrive when seats are still available. And maybe skip the beer fest the night before a race.
